Established in 1937 and recently renovated, the ski-in/ski-out Akakura Kanko Hotel was one of the first European-style ski resort hotels in Japan. Today it combines old-world tradition with modern amenities and a unique Japanese touch. The hotel has 52 comfortable, spacious guest rooms with panoramic mountain views. Enjoy excellent dining at a choice of restaurants and partake in aprés-ski drinks and snacks at the Lobby Lounge Bar.
Oyada Furuya is a modest traditional ryokan style hotel. All spacious rooms are uniquely decorated with beautiful Japanese design elements and feature great views of the mountains. The Oyada Furuya is perfectly located just a short walk to either of the two Akakura Ski areas, and everything else you will need. The shuttle buses will take you out to the other nearby resorts, restaurants and evening spots.
Only a four-minute walk to the Akakura Onsen lifts. Known for their cuisine and seasonal menus. There are 20 Japanese rooms, where you can enjoy sleeping on futons on fragrant Tatami mat floors, four comfortable western rooms, and 44 semi-Japanese rooms — featuring beds as well as an adjoining tatami area where you can relax, have a cup of tea, and enjoy your time in Myoko.
Literally step out of the door to start skiing, from this European inspired hotel. Hotel Alp is built in the style of a Myoko's sister city (Zermatt, Switzerland) yet inside you'll find traditional Japanese hospitality. Relax after a day on the slopes in the onsite onsen. A short five-minute walk will have you in the centre of the Village where you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
