Nestled in the beautiful Okanagan Valley above the town of Vernon, SilverStar is an easy one hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. All day skiing and snowboarding down the champagne powder trails is there for the taking with over 700 vertical metres and more than 3000 acres of incredible terrain. With two faces to choose from, one friendly and one difficult, there are endless options for every level of skier and snowboarder from beginner to advanced. The resort also boasts 16 kilometres of marked snowshoe trails, a Tube Town Adventure Park, outdoor skating on Brewer’s Pond and a fitness centre with rock-climbing wall. Off the slopes there is much to explore in the quaint village of SilverStar, which itself is a colourful collection of Victorian-styled buildings containing condos, shops and restaurants. Some incredible day trips and activities are on offer for those wanting to take in the surrounding landscapes and some Canadian culture with Hockey games in Kelowna, snowmobile tours, snow bike tours and snowshoe tours.
