Open since 1938, Alta is one of the oldest ski areas in the US, attracting skiers of all abilities to experience its incredible snow – which averages almost 14 metres per season. While known for its steep and challenging terrain, one of the area’s best kept secret is the easily accessible beginner area in the Albion Basin. There are also wide-open bowls created by glacier activity that are perfect for intermediate skiers. One of only three ski areas in the US that don’t allow snowboarding, Alta is a skier’s only mountain.
Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort is a family-style village offering access to Utah’s legendary powder, world-class accommodations and an on-snow mountain village just 35 minutes from Salt Lake City Airport. The village has a great vibe and provides a variety of slope side lodging that allows easy access to lifts and ski school at the High Meadow Family Fun Zone – a dedicated learning area for beginners, children, and families. There are multiple award-winning restaurants and great places to enjoy après ski, or take the free bus into Park City Mountain Resort for even more shopping and dining options.
Deer Valley Resort is a skiers only, alpine resort located in historic Park City. Well known for its on-mountain service and extensive dining options, the resort offers everything from the “steep and deep” expert trails to beginner and intermediate, beautifully groomed runs that every level of skier can enjoy. Deer Valley has an incredible ski-school and children’s program for those starting out on their ski journey, while intermediate and advanced skiers can swap the lessons for the ‘Ski with a Champion’ program. In honour of their Olympic legacy, Deer Valley offers the opportunity for groups of up to six to ski with one of six Olympic snowsport athletes.
Park City has a rich a silver mining history, and with many of its original buildings converted into restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and art galleries, it is one of the most charming and vibrant ski towns in the US. A short 35 minute transfer from Salt Lake City Airport, Park City Mountain is the largest single ski and snowboard resort in the United States. It has varied terrain with something to suit everyone, including great cruisers of varying pitch, impressive tree skiing in well gladed areas and multiple terrain parks, natural half pipes and a super pipe. Park City Mountain Village offers quick access to the resort’s learning area, superb blue runs, and for experts the double blacks off Jupiter Peak are a real challenge. The Quicksilver Gondola connects Park City with the Canyons side of the resort to allow access to even more terrain

A sprawling resort served by an impressive array of high-speed chairs and Utah’s only aerial tram, Snowbird is a playground for those who like it fast, steep, and deep. Skiing at Snowbird is thrilling. Stepping into your first tram is a legendary moment. The 125 capacity tram drops you off atop Hidden Peak at 3300 metres above sea level, and atop a jaw-dropping panorama of high alpine wonder.
